1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using KidFounders (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian creating an account on behalf of a child, you accept these terms on their behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
KidFounders is an online learning platform that teaches entrepreneurship to children ages 8–14 through interactive lessons, quizzes, activities, an AI-powered tutor, and gamification features. The Service is provided via web application and is intended for use by families.
3. Accounts
- Parent accounts. A parent or legal guardian must create the family account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Child profiles. Child profiles are created and managed by the parent account holder. Children cannot create accounts independently.
- Account limits. Each family account may have up to 5 child profiles.
- Accuracy. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
4. Subscription & Billing
- Free trial. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial.
- Plans. After the trial, you may subscribe to a monthly ($12.99/month) or annual ($124.99/year) plan.
- Billing. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged through Stripe using the payment method on file.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your parent dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price increases take effect.
5. Acceptable Use
When using KidFounders, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or inappropriate for children
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Intellectual Property
All content provided through KidFounders—including lessons, illustrations, quizzes, activity templates, and software—is owned by KidFounders and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Content that children create within the Service (business plans, drawings, pitch decks, etc.) belongs to the child and their family. We do not claim ownership of user-generated content.
7. AI Tutor
KidFounders includes an AI-powered business coach. The AI is designed to be educational and age-appropriate. However, AI responses are generated dynamically and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. The AI tutor is a learning tool, not a substitute for professional advice.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
KidFounders is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep the Service running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KidFounders and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes go into effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
